Ian Gower

Ian has been involved in all aspects of the theatre from an early age, it was as a young follow spot operator that he got the bug for the stage. As a keyboard, bass player and songwriter most of his writing and playing experience has come from playing in bands - both cover versions and original material. In recent years writing and adaptation for the theatre has become a large part of his life and he has been fortunate enough to work with some of the greats of British comedy while adapting the first ever Stage Play of "Dad's Army" (now published by French's) by kind permission of Jimmy Perry and David Croft, since then, with the help and support of colleague Paul Carpenter he has adapted a second "Dad's Army - The Lost Episodes" and recently a new stage play of "It Ain't Half Hot Mum" which had it's premiere in July 2005.
Recently he has been given the go ahead to produce the first stage version of "Porridge" with permission from Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais, this will premiere next summer (2006) at The Court Theatre.
As an actor he loves to play the villain, particular favourites are Bill Sykes from "Oliver!" and Abanazar in "Aladdin"
Noah is his first major musical written together with Rob Alderton and Ian very much hopes you enjoy the "Noah Experience", for those that do Ian and Rob have another two projects in the pipeline.
