Ian GowerIan has been involved in all aspects of the theatre from an early age, it was as a young follow spot operator that he got the bug for the stage. As a keyboard, bass player and songwriter most of his writing and playing experience has come from playing in bands - both cover versions and original material. In recent years writing and adaptation for the theatre has become a large part of his life and he has been fortunate enough to work with some of the greats of British comedy while adapting the first ever Stage Play of "Dad's Army" (now published by French's) by kind permission of Jimmy Perry and David Croft, since then, with the help and support of colleague Paul Carpenter he has adapted a second "Dad's Army - The Lost Episodes" and recently a new stage play of "It Ain't Half Hot Mum" which had it's premiere in July 2005. |
